Thunder Bay Police say seven people are facing not only drug related offences but also charges under the provincial Stay at Home Order.
Police first raided a property on Wilson Street at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday and picked up equipment consistent with drug trafficking, over $5,000 in cash, 30 grams of suspected methamphetamine in addition to 223 grams of suspected cocaine.
Another search occurring later at a hotel room on Powley Street turned up suspected fentanyl, over $5,000 in cash and equipment consistent with drug trafficking.
The second probe happened after a multi-vehicle collision on Oliver Road near Golf Links Road around 7:35 p.m., Wednesday.
Uniformed officials found a man in possession of $1,125 in cash and suspected crack cocaine.
The 29-year-old from Ignace faces the following charges:
- Three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Proceeds of Crime Over $5,000
- Resist a Peace Officer
- Break and Enter
A 39-year-old man and 28-year-old woman from Thunder Bay have also been charged with:
- Three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Proceeds of Crime Over $5,000
- Resist a Peace Officer
- Break and Enter
The accused have future court dates.
