Health officials report eight new cases of coronavirus.
After no cases on Tuesday the Thunder Bay District Health Unit indicates that the active case count is up to 31.
Seven of the new cases were obtained through someone else who had the virus while one individual had no known exposure.
Another six cases of COVID-19 are deemed as resolved.
The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre says there are five patients in the COVID ward, two are in intensive care.
The Northwestern Health Unit confirmed 47 active cases after another five new ones Tuesday.
In Ontario there are 2,320 new cases along with 32 deaths.
