Seven New COVID-19 Cases

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit has crept up again for number of active COVID-19 cases.

The health unit says there are seven new cases from Sunday and Monday, putting the active count at 40.

Four of those are cases with variants of concern.

Health officials add that six people got it from being around someone else with it, while one person got the virus after travelling outside the region.

In the province Monday 2,716 new cases were reported, which is the lowest daily count in nearly six weeks. 19 deaths were also logged.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
