An assault charge has been laid after a 57-year-old woman was found unconscious.
Thunder Bay police tell us they were called to the Amelia Street area in the south end around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
When they got there, they found she was already at the hospital.
Police found there was a confrontation in the doorway of the accused’s home, which led to the assault.
James Smallwood, of Thunder Bay, was in bail court Monday, and released with a future court date.
