District Adds 7 New Cases

The district now has 57 active cases of COVID-19 and seven new positive tests.

The Health Unit confirms 16 more people are now considered resolved.

It also announced that five more of the active cases have been identified as variants of concern.

Out of the new positive cases:

  • Four were infected through close contact
  • Two travelled outside Northwestern Ontario
  • One had no known exposure

Provincially, Ontario is reporting 3,369 new cases, and has now administered 5,247,684 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
