Proposed Pot Store Receiving More Study

A proposed cannabis store on the north side of the city will get some extra scrutiny.

High Purpose Marketing wants to set up the dispensary at the shopping complex at 109 Regina Avenue right behind the Petro Canada gas station.

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario is asking anyone who wants to file an objection to do so by May 13th.

It is one of eight local applications for cannabis stores currently before the Commission.

The province has approved seven new cannabis dispensaries since about mid-March bringing to 12 the number of pot shops currently in operation in the city.
