Mining Industry Donates To Roots To Harvest

The mining industry in the region is helping a local charity.

They have combined to donate $80,000 to the Roots to Harvest organization lead by Erin Beagle.

The charity official calls it “unprecedented” and says the gift will go a long way to supporting thousands of individuals who Roots to Harvest helps through their food programs.

The companies involved are Impala Canada, Barrick Gold, Newmont Canada, Noront Resources, and New Gold.

They are joined by Clean Air Metals, Intercity Industrial Supply, Belterra Corporation, Superior Propane, Lakehead Ironworks, and ITEC 2000 Equipment & Hydraulics.
