Restrictions Damaging Says Chamber President

The latest provincial pandemic restrictions disappoint the president of the Chamber of Commerce.

Charla Robinson explains not only are they discouraging but also will be damaging for thousands of local businesses.

“An extension to the stay at home order of another couple of weeks plus an additional change to restrict non-essential construction, they’re gonna be shut down, golf courses and some of those recreational services are gonna be shut down,” explains Robinson.

The chamber president believes since more businesses will be affected by the restrictions there should be more cash supports from the province.

However, Robinson adds she was pleased to see curbside service will be allowed since taking that away “Would have been even more detrimental to so many retail businesses.”
