Active Cases Drop Below 100

Another milestone as the district drops to 98 active cases of COVID-19.

Today’s update from the District Health Unit confirms 13 new cases and 16 people now considered resolved.

It says one more person has been admitted to the hospital.

Out of the latest positive tests:

  • Three people caught it from their own household;
  • Two are listed as other forms of close contact;
  • Six had no known exposure;
  • One travelled outside Northwestern Ontario;
  • One cause is still being confirmed.

Ontario is reporting 3,813 cases. The province is under a stay-at-home order until at least May 6th.
