No Date Set For Roundabout Construction

There is still no timeline for building a new roundabout at Edward and Redwood.

Northwood Councillor Shelby Ch’ng notes it will be a big project since sewer work is also included in the construction.

“I’m expecting it to take a few months. I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes until the fall just because there’s a lot of remediation work that has to be done (like) putting a lot of new water mains under the street,” explains Ch’ng.

The Northwood councillor adds there is also an education component involved to teach drivers how to navigate a roundabout.

She points out the city already had such a plan in place when there was a discussion about constructing a traffic circle at Victoria and Ford.
