Active Case Count Drops Slightly

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is reporting a small dip in the active case count.

Officials report Thursday that there are 23 new cases of coronavirus and 29 more resolved ones.

The numbers put the active case count at 210:

  • Seven people got the virus while at home from someone else
  • Seven others got it from outside the house
  • One case was obtained through travel outside of Northwestern Ontario
  • Three are still waiting for results of how they got it

When it comes to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, officials say seven of the 21 patients that they are treating for COVID-19 are in the Intensive Care Unit.

In Ontario Thursday 2,557 new cases to go along with 23 deaths.
