Active Case Count Drops In Thunder Bay

The active coronavirus case count continues to decline in the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

Officials report there are 259 cases with 20 new ones Friday and 44 resolved.

  • Eight people got the virus while at home from someone else
  • Four others got it from outside the house
  • Four have no known exposure
  • Four are still waiting for results of how they got it

At the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre seven of the 31 patients that are being treated for COVID-19 are in the Intensive Care Unit.

In Ontario there are 2,169 new cases reported along with 12 deaths.
