Agreement To Assist Medical Imaging, Hospital Wait Times

Some movement this week to make medical imaging and wait times easier at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

The facility, along with Novari Health have put pen to paper on an agreement to implement its technology to help reduce the paper trail on tests such as MRIs, CT scans, mammography, nuclear and other imaging exams in addition to managing wait times for consultation, surgery and other procedures.

“Each medical imaging requisition represents a patient moving through the healthcare system whose care is dependent on imaging services,” remarks President of Novari Health John Sinclair.

“Streamlining the processing of these referrals and the use of state of the art wait list management technologies helps ensure that every patient receives timely care.”

The technology has already been implemented at other hospitals and regional health authorities across Canada.
