Brooke Boquist is in Boston anxiously awaiting the resumption of the NWHL’s Isobel Cup playoffs.
The Thunder Bayer plays for the Toronto Six, who finished first in round robin play in February before the National Women’s Hockey League pulled the plug on the Lake Placid bubble one day prior to the playoffs.

Two of the six teams bowed out due to positive COVID-19 cases; Boquist also contracted the virus and missed the last two games for the Six on January 30th and 31st.
While Boquist did not want to elaborate on her battle with coronavirus she did say she’s raring to go.
“‘I would say I am 100 per cent for sure,” Boquist said. “I’m just happy to get back on the ice and play some meaningful games this weekend. Honestly there’s no room for error, if you don’t win you are out so we have to be on the whole time.
Boquist stressed the team has to follow similar rules as to what was in place for Lake Placid.
“You have to get your rapid coronavirus test done and follow the same protocols as per usual,” Boquist mentioned. “We have to stay safe this weekend, go between the hotel and the rink as we are only there to play hockey.”
Boquist and the Toronto Six finished first in the round robin and will play the Boston Pride in the first semi-final Friday at 5:00 p.m.
