46 New Cases, Two More Deaths

There are now 37 deaths in the region related to the coronavirus pandemic.

There were two more deaths reported in Wednesday’s update from the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

Health officials indicate there are 46 new cases of COVID-19, which includes:

  • 18 cases were obtained from someone else who had the virus
  • Four cases tied to the Walford Retirement Home Outbreak
  • Nine cases have no known exposure
  • 15 case causes are pending

Wednesday’s numbers put the active case count at 414 with 88 more cases resolved.

The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre indicates they are treating 46 patients for COVID-19, including 14 in the Intensive Care Unit.

In Ontario there are 1,316 new cases and 16 deaths.
