46 new cases, 304 active cases

The Thunder Bay District reports the 28th death associated with COVID-19.

The breakdown of the 46 new cases of coronavirus:

  • 31 cases obtained from someone else who had the virus
  • Three cases have no known exposure cause
  • 11 case causes are pending
  • One case associated with the Chartwell Hilldale retirement home outbreak

The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre is dealing with 19 positive COVID-19 cases as well as seven cases in the Intensive Care Unit.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit also says that 14 cases have been resolved.

The new cases means the active count is up to 304.

The Northwestern Health Unit reports nine new cases of coronavirus, all tied to the Kenora area.

Ontario reports 1,054 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday and 9 deaths.
