No COVID-19 Cases With Superior North EMS

Still no positive COVID-19 cases among members of Superior North EMS.

Chief Wayne Gates says his members have been diligent in their use of personal protective equipment since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Everything from gloves, masks, gowns and googles,” says Gates. “Kudos to those paramedics, they’ve been very diligent in this and because of those efforts we’ve had no members test positive for coronavirus.”

The Chief stressed his members are taking things seriously, even with the recent uptake in local cases.

“With every call [members] go on, they have protocols to follow, they have a screening tool they use. They’re very diligent in making sure they wear their PPE. They know how serious COVID-19 can be so they’re very cautious in that way.”

Gates knows there’s pandemic fatigue but his message is keep doing what you’re doing and the paramedics will do the same.
