Police Tight Lipped On COVID Cases

City police are not confirming if any of their members currently have the COVID-19 virus.

Spokesperson Chris Adams tells us since the pandemic began there have been “a few” members of the Thunder Bay Police Service who tested positive after being exposed to the virus both on and off duty.

He would not specify what is meant by “a few.”

” We have been proactive in our work with the Thunder Bay District Health Unit to ensure that members of the public have not been put in any jeopardy by these exposures” explains Adams.

The police official adds since it is a health issue details of any exposures will not be released.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
