It’s a new high for active COVID-19 cases in the Thunder Bay District.
The District Health Unit is reporting 29 new infections, putting the district at 229 active cases.
As well, another person has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, Ontario is seeing another day with over 1,000 new COVID-19 cases.
The province recorded 1,087 new infections, the fourth day in a row with more than 1,000 people testing positive.
As of Saturday night, over 556,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered.
