40 New COVID-19 Cases

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is reporting 40 new COVID-19 cases.

Here’s the breakdown:

  • 30 cases obtained through contact with someone else who had the virus
  • One case tied to the Thunder Bay District Jail outbreak
  • One exposure cause not known
  • Eight case causes are pending

The hospital now has 11 patients who have tested positive for COVID-19. Of those four are in the Intensive Care Unit.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit also says that 12 cases have been resolved.

The new cases means the active count is up to 198.

In the province 1,150 new COVID-19 cases and 47 deaths.
