The Thunder Bay District is moving into the province’s Red or Control COVID-19 category.
We will transition to the new COVID-19 framework when we exit the stay-at-home order at 12:01 AM Tuesday.
The district will still be under strict public health measures, but more businesses will be allowed to re-open.
The province says people in Red zones like ours should only leave home for essential reasons, not visit any other household, and avoid social gatherings.
It’s the strictest level of the framework before an area hits the Grey or Lockdown mark.
Essential businesses like grocery stores will be able to have three-quarters of their normal capacity, while non-essential ones can only have half of their normal limit.
