A pair of new COVID-19 cases confirmed by officials of the Fort William First Nation.
Reports indicate the cases are related to transmission from the ongoing outbreak within the Thunder Bay Correctional Centre.
Officials indicate they weren’t informed that a positive inmate would be living in their community until well after the inmate visited many homes.
Both positive individuals are now in the dedicated isolation shelter in Thunder Bay.
The First Nation says this is fourth confirmed case of the novel coronavirus.
