Bushby Sentencing Rescheduled

A high-profile court case has been pushed to later this month.

Brayden Bushby’s sentencing hearing was originally scheduled for next Tuesday, but it will now be held on February 17th at the Thunder Bay Courthouse.

He was found guilty of manslaughter in the 2017 death of Barbara Kentner after she was struck by a trailer hitch thrown by Bushby from a moving vehicle.

Judge Helen Pierce, in her December decision, indicated the actions of Bushby on that January morning were a contributing cause of Kentner’s death, were objectively dangerous, and that injury to Kentner was foreseeable.

Brayden Bushby has been out on bail conditions since the conclusion of the trial.
