Powlowski Hopes For Better 2021

One local MP admits that like many of us, the pandemic derailed some of his goals for 2020.

As he looks back, Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP Marcus Powlowski notes he was hoping to secure more work for the Bombardier plant.

“I think it’s going to eventually happen, but I’m a little frustrated with the slow pace. However, I think genuinely our government has had other things that have preoccupied it over the last number of months,” he notes.

The Liberal MP acknowledges the pandemic has had a huge impact on the world.

“Everything has been basically pandemic-related. This will be known as the great year of the pandemic. Hopefully that will be 2020, and 2021 will be the year that the pandemic ended and we got back to normal,” he says.

Powlowski is hopeful we will see a return to normal by the end of the year. Powlowski adds he believes the federal government did a good job economically managing the pandemic in 2020.
