Local MPs Tout Vaccine Approval

The approval of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine means there is still more to come.

Speaking with Acadia Broadcasting’s John Ongaro Canada’s Health Minister Patty Hajdu noted other vaccines are on the way.

“Hopefully Moderna…will be the second one and then we have AstraZeneca and Johnson and Johnson,” explained the Thunder Bay Liberal MP.

Marcus Powlowski is very optimistic now that vaccine approval is official.

The Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP is hoping his constituents can start getting the vaccine within a reasonable amount of time.

“I can’t say it’s going to happen in the next month but given the timelines that I’ve heard I would hope that may be sometime in January we would start to see our first vaccines here,” explains Powlowski.

The Liberal MP stresses the pandemic is not over and we must continue protecting ourselves and others until it is likening it to a race and this is the last lap.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
