Superior North EMS Keeping Up Testing

Superior North EMS staff is staying on top of the COVID-19 outbreak at a long-term care home.

Task force commander Shane Muir notes his team did another facility wide test of Southbridge Roseview Sunday, adding they do a round of tests every five days. “We haven’t received the results of this round of testing yet, so we can’t say how the outbreak situation is being managed.”

The task force commander adds for the most part, staff are adjusting to handling COVID-19 procedures.

“That being said they are extremely overworked, and anytime you have an outbreak in a long-term care setting it is an extremely volatile situation with the rapid spread of the virus,” says Muir.

At last check on the Southbridge website, there are 40 active resident cases, and 21 among staff.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
