Heavy smoke and flames confronted firefighters at a north-end home last night.
Just after 10 PM, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue got the call to deal with a garage fire on Vera Avenue between Conmee and Otto Streets.
They were able to contain it to the outside of the building and keep it from spreading to neighbours.
Nobody was hurt, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
