The Ford government says a task force has been assembled to control the distribution of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Premier Doug Ford indicates the purpose will be to coordinate vaccine distribution once the province receives its supply.
“This task force are experts and will take a hard close look at our extensive planning and they will stress test and make sure beyond a shadow of a doubt that Ontario will be ready,” explains the premier.
Health Minister Christine Elliott explains this vaccine task force will continue the work which has already been started by her ministry and the Solicitor General’s Office.
“It’s really important to get people with a variety of knowledge and experience in this group, and that is what we have compiled,” noted the minister.
Members of the task force will be announced on Friday.
