Fort William First Nation is reporting its first case of COVID-19.
Officials say the person and those they have been in contact with are now self isolating.
This comes after the community put in checkpoints on Mission Road to prevent any non-essential visits.
The community’s arena is now closed for the next two weeks, but officials haven’t confirmed any additional restrictions at this time.
