District Adds 10 New COVID-19 Cases

Ten new people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the District.

Thunder Bay’s Health Unit says eight of them got the virus from being around someone who has it, but it adds it is yet to be determined how the other two contracted it.

All of the new patients are self-isolating, and all but one are from the Thunder Bay and surrounding area. One is from a First Nation community.

That brings the total active case load to 68, while a total of 264 people have been diagnosed since the pandemic started.

Today, Ontario is reporting 1,855 new cases, and 19 deaths.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
