Update 9am, Thursday:

You’re being asked by Thunder Bay police to try to avoid an east end area as they investigate an incident involving a stolen vehicle.

It all started when they were called to an area near John Street Road and Boulter just before 1:30 Thursday morning, concerning reports a vehicle had been stolen from the scene of a collision.

Police say they identified a suspect, a 24-year-old Thunder Bay man, who was also the accused in another, unrelated disturbance earlier in the evening.

Investigation lead police to McLeod Street, where they remain.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
