City Faces $350 Million Lawsuit

The City of Thunder Bay has been served with a $350 million dollar lawsuit over pinhole leaks in copper pipes in some city homes.

It is being led by resident Patsy Stadnyk who says they are upset the city has not responded to their repeated requests for help.

They have hired the Toronto law firm of Roy O’Connor LLP, which specializes in litigation.

The group believes the city’s introduction of sodium hydroxide in the water supply is the source of the problems.

City Manager Norm Gale told our newsroom he can provide no comment at this time.

None of the accusations have been proven in court.
