Sell Out For Rotary House Lottery

Great news for the 34th Fort William Rotary House Lottery.

Past President of the Rotary Club, Stephen Margarit confirms tickets for the house to be won have sold out.

“When we were at 20% sold out, we were really worried on how this year was going to go but [I thank the community] for stepping up and adapting with us,” says Stephen Margarit, Past President of the Rotary Club. “We had to go to the [Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario) and ask for an extension. We went to online sales and did our best to utilize online tours of the house, enabling people to look at pictures and do a 360 view, so this was very different from the traditional format.”

The draw is Monday at noon, on-line, with proceeds benefiting many charities in Thunder Bay.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
