Seven Picked Up In Possible Forcible Confinement

Police arrest and lay charges against seven after reports of possible forcible confinement

Officers reporting first to a hotel on Memorial Avenue near Lisgar Street just before 11:45 a.m. Thursday.

Uniformed officials then made their way to a residence on Limbrick Street where they discovered what appeared to be narcotics being thrown from the window.

A raid lead to the seizure of Cocaine and Fentanyl with an estimated potential street value of nearly $39,000.

Four of the seven arrested and charged are from Thunder Bay.

The charges include:

  • Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Cocaine
  • Obstruct Peace Officer

All will appear in court at future dates.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
