Hey Pumpkin!

Pumpkin season is here! Here are a few ways you can spruce up your fall look ! These DIY’s are easy family projects that won’t breaking the bank.

Aluminum Duct Pumpkins

This was so fun and super easy to make!

Materials Required:

  • Aluminum Dryer Vent Duct ( can make up to 4 small pumpkins)
*flexible dryer vents are easier to work with
  • Spray Paint & Primer
  • Ribbon (optional)
  • Wine cork / Cinnamon Sticks (optional)
  • Hot glue gun + glue sticks
  • Fake fall colored leaves
  • Scissors
  • Wire Cutter

Step 1:

Plug in your glue gun to allow it time to heat up. Stretch out the dryer vent to your desired size and cut. If scissors don’t do the trick you may need to use a wire cutter. As best you can, fold the the ends inside on each end. Don’t sweat if it’s not 100 % perfect because you are going to go over the edges with hot glue. Hold for 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Step 2:

Using old cardboard, spray paint the duct outside and let it dry. You may need to go over it a few times. Flip sides and repeat process until it’s 100 % covered. Let dry completely before moving on to step 3. Trust me!

Step 3:

Add your own personal touches!! Whether you’re making bigger pumpkins like us or smaller ones the possibilities to add your own fall flare are endless. We added twine in the middle of both pumpkins so we could stack them slanted and hot glued them down. We fixed any gaps with decorative leaves. You can add a wine cork/cinnamon stick center and nice bow or even some vines.
