WATCH: Security Drone Flies IN Your Home!

Amazon’s latest foray into home security involves a drone that flies IN your home!

The Ring Always Home Cam, expected to hit the market next year, is a drone that works with an app so you can have a mobile look at your home (doesn’t do stairs though!) without having to have multiple cameras installed. It’s not just for those who think an intruder might be roaming around their house, it’s also for things like checking if you left a window open or the oven on. After it’s done its rounds, it flies itself back to its cradle.

Worried that this bad boy will smash into your antique chandelier? Amazon claims it has obstacle avoidance technology. Afraid it might smash into your head? They say it’s lightweight. Privacy concerns? Apparently the camera only turns on when it’s in flight.

I’m paranoid about any of these home devices because I feel like they’re always listening and watching, but really, I have a cell phone so that thing is probably doing the same thing. However, I will not be getting one of these, because if I want to sneak several snacks I shouldn’t be having, while lying on the couch when I have a million things to do, I don’t want this snitch of a drone whizzing around the corner and my wife busting me.
