Top Doc Supports Return To School

Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health says if people do what they are asked to, schools will be safe.

Dr. David Williams says being consistent is the key.

“I don’t think they’ll be at more risk than other people, if you do all the infection prevention and control practices as we’re supposed to do,” Williams says. “And that’s why we’re going to be continually working and saying, how are you going to do it, is it working well, can it be done better?”

Williams says he recommends sending children back to school because the strategies that have been developed are very thorough.

However, he says parents should not be afraid to ask questions if they’re feeling uneasy.
