There appears to be no end to the phone scams in our area.
City police say the latest is one in which the person identifies themselves as being from the City of Thunder Bay.
The scammer tells the would-be victim they owe money which is false.
Police say the fraudsters appear to be more interested in personal information rather than money and are likely part of an ongoing phishing scam.
They add if you receive a suspicious phone call you have the right to hang up but stress that you not call 9-1-1.
