Complex To Open Next Month

The Canada Games Complex could be open in a few week if it passes a health inspection.

It’s on the list of facilities the city is re-opening, and the doors are expected to open in mid-late September.

The Complex will offer family or small group swims, seniors’ programs, aquatic fitness, lane swims, club or pool rentals, and fitness classes along with areas like the track. You will be required to keep your distance from others when using their facility.

The sauna and hot tub will be off-limits.

Council also approved re-opening Ogden and Woodcrest Child Care Centres along with private home child care. Daycares are only taking preschool and toddler aged children right now, and working on restarting programs for school-aged kids.

Private home daycares will be open by mid-late September. The Baggage Building Arts Centre will be open in the Fall.
