A group of Thunder Bay women are taking a stand against child abuse and human trafficking at Patterson Park Wednesday.
Ashlee Burton leads a local child advocacy movement with Giant Hearts, and says she’s inviting people to come to a demonstration and walk since she feels there are crimes child abusers are getting away with, and it must be uncovered. “Just how severe the situation has gotten, where it’s evolved to. Is it uncomfortable? Yes… but if children need to endure this then the least we can do is acknowledge it.”
The Thunder Bay woman adds a push to make certain crimes more acceptable is something they must stand up against.
For more information, you can contact them through Giant Hearts on Facebook. They’re also asking people to respect all safety rules concerning COVID-19.
