COVID fatigue is hitting parts of Canada.
Federal Health Minister Patty Hajdu understands that for some youth they may be having a hard time keeping away from each other.
“We know that youth are lonely. Do you remember being 25? Can you imagine being told you can’t go to bars, you can’t party, you can’t go out, this is hard times for a lot of people,” Hajdu says.
Hajdu suggests asking yourself if you really need to go to an event if it has the possibility of putting you and others at risk.
“You know if numbers are really low people think they are out of the woods. We see that in Thunder Bay with people saying ‘well there’s only one or two cases so it can’t be spreading too widely’,” Hajdu says.
Hajdu made her comments speaking with Acadia Broadcasting’s John Ongaro last week.
