A Thunder Bay police officer is being cleared in a March 2020 incident.
The Special Investigations Unit says there are no reasonable grounds to believe that the officer committed a criminal offence in connection to arresting a 32-year-old man.
The SIU was investigating the matter because, following the arrest, the suspect was diagnosed with a fractured right hand.
The special branch that investigates police says there was no connection with the man’s arrest and his injury.
