Thunder Bay’s Moose Hall appears to be out of the woods.
They were forced to halt some of their operations during the beginning of the pandemic, something administrator Patrick Cross says they’ve survived.
“Actually, already had some requests for meetings and our pool league is alive and well. Now we are just waiting for the phone to ring to get more bookings,” Cross says.
With stage three of the province’s reopening plan in effect, Cross says they can hold events but if they want more than 50 people inside they’ll have to apply for a special exemption from the province.
Earlier in the pandemic, Cross launched a gofundme campaign to help the hall offset their bills.
“The gofundme topped just over $2,500 but it also generated donations directly to the lodge surpassing the gofundme page itself and that helped us as well,” Cross says.
