Several rural communities are getting better roads.
MP for Thunder Bay-Superior North Patty Hajdu explains the federal government kicked in $12 million for six projects including airport improvements for the Township of Manitouwadge.
“This money will help improve the runway and the taxiway, undergo several upgrades including resurfacing the asphalt and repaving,” Hajdu says.
The rest of the money is going to three First Nation communities, Pickle Lake, and Terrace Bay.
