Synergy North is reporting around 500 to 1,000 customers are without power this afternoon.
The outage covers an area of Bay Street to the District Jail between Algoma and Cumberland Streets.
They expect the power to be back around 5:00 tonight.
The outage was caused by the storm and crews are en route.
