Overpass Repairs To Cause Traffic Disruptions

A heads up if you are driving on the north side of the city.

Water Street lane closures start today at the site of the pedestrian overpass at Red River Road.

Traffic will be restricted to one northbound lane and one southbound lane, between Tupper and Pearl streets to allow for overpass repairs.

The lane closures will last to the end of the month. Then, after the August long weekend, all four lanes of Water Street will be blocked off for two days.

The work will require the removal of the bridge for about 12 weeks.
