Find Out What Ships Are in the Bay

Leave it to the Master of Information, Ed Lavoie (Host of The Retro Lounge, Sundays from 6 pm – 9 pm) to tell me about this gem! The Port of Thunder Bay website is a really cool look into what’s happening with the shipping industry in our harbour.

Among the features on the site is an interactive map which of the live marine traffic. You can see which ships are currently tooling around and learn more about them! It’s really cool. Click HERE to check things out.

During the pandemic, it’s rare to be able to talk about good business news, so it’s great to be able to say our Port is having a stellar season. The grain numbers are 35 per cent higher than the five-year average. Wheat is big business right now, with one of the reasons people baking so much more at home. So munch on some homemade bread and take a look at what’s happening in our very own Bay!
