An armed man is under arrest after an incident at Rideau Hall in Ottawa.
R-C-M-P are reporting around 6:40 Thursday morning, the man was able to make his way to the grounds of 1 Sussex Drive.
Police closed off several roads leading to Rideau Hall and asked residents to avoid the area. The man was taken into custody without incident.
Police are not releasing his identity, stating charges are pending.
The Prime Minister and the Governor General were not present while this was happening.
