Summer Changes Coming To North Downtown

The trendy north downtown core is about to get a summertime transformation starting today.

Kara Pratt of the Waterfront BIA explains Red River Road between St. Paul and Court Streets is getting spruced up to make dining and shopping a more pleasant experience.

“During that full closure the city and the BIA are working together to place quarry stones, trees, picnic tables, and other beautification items within the area to create the streetery and marketplace,” explains Pratt.

To make way for the renovations that portion of Red River Road will be closed to all traffic until Friday when the changes will be completed.

It will then be open to one lane of traffic until September when it will revert back to normal.
