Matawa First Nations Management has bought the former Dawson Court.
The management group started looking into purchasing the former old age home last summer.
Dawson Court will be redeveloped as a Matawa Training and Wellness Centre that will bring three services together.
The centre will house the employment and training service KKETS, Matawa Health Co-operative and the MFNM’s social services department.
Officials say the move to this facility will allow for the expansion of training and wellness services and an increase in traditional healing and cultural spaces.
